Supported Florida formats and preview accuracy

Limits are design-specific; a central logo does not always mean a 7-character limit. These are the formats supported by this generator for the passenger designs in our catalog. The 7-character format allows one additional space. For the 5-character format, spaces count toward the limit. Use uppercase Latin letters; Cyrillic and other punctuation are not supported.
For center artwork, HSMV 83043 asks for two blank positions to keep the graphic clear. Four letters can be placed two on each side, and six letters three on each side. Seven letters plus two blanks exceed the eight-position format. Characters are not automatically centered by the DMV: specify your spaces on the application.
Florida converts the letter O to the digit 0 (zero). The generator applies this conversion to typing and pasted text, following FLHSMV procedure RS-27.
